Nicotine patches versus Electronic cigarettes- A Discussion

A nicotine patch is a trans-dermal patch that releases nicotine into the body through the skin. It is used as an aid in nicotine replacement therapy (NRT), a process for smoking cessation. We know many people have dropped their smoking addiction through the use of the patch and given our relation to this topic we wanted to discuss the facts about patches.

Our customers have been asking us whether they can use patches alongside e cigarettes and we had to write up a blog discussion on this topic as we know many of you are interested in this debate.

We don’t recommend you use electronic cigarettes with any nicotine patches simply from the risk of the overuse of nicotine. If you want to quit smoking or at least switch from cigarettes, choose one method and stick with the complete plan or path. Do remember that electronic cigarettes are not quit smoking products and must be viewed as tobacco products. You are still smoking with e-cigarettes and they cannot be viewed as a safe alternative to cigarettes. This means we urge our customers to use our products responsibly. Nicotine is an incredibly addictive substance and smoking tobacco, even electronic cigarettes is incredibly addictive.
